It is important that your safety and security is maintained during your studies! You'll be able to meet both the security manager for Malmö University as well as a real police officer at our safety and security information session during Orientation, where you can hear about how to stay safe in Malmö and ask questions.

Reporting incidents

If you notice something broken or damaged, or anything else potentially dangerous, you should submit a fault report or incident report to our university facilities. This way, we can ensure that problems are fixed and that the facilities are safe and functional for everyone. You can submit reports on the security information and fault reporting website.

Security information

For security information, updates and emergency information and contacts, there is a web-based app which can be saved to the home screen of your smartphone. We highly recommend using the app, as it has a wide variety of helpful information for your studies on-campus, and you never know when you'll need emergency information!

COVID-19 and precautions on campus

You will be able to find updated information regarding the precautions taken at Malmö University, what the university is doing to prevent the spread of the virus, where you will be able to study and what you need to keep in mind on the Malmö University website. In case of emergency

The emergency phone number in Sweden is 112. This is the number you dial in case of emergency and in current life threatening situations. To contact the police outside of an emergency or life threatening situation, such as reporting an incident that has already occurred, the number is 114 14.
