Orkanen building in the summer

Welcome to Malmö University!

This page is designed to get you acquainted with the University, Malmö, Sweden and your fellow students. It is designed as a complement to Orientation, as you can find the schedule for the week of Orientation as well as an overview of many of the topics that will be covered during our information sessions here.

The information sessions held during Orientation will not be recorded or webcasted unless otherwise stated. If you are unable to attend the information sessions, we've made recordings from some of the sessions given during the spring semester 2022 available.  However, we cannot guarantee that all the information is up to date, and it is no replacement for the great experiences we have planned for you throughout the week where you'll be able to meet university representatives in person, get answers to your questions and get to know the other new students. That's why we encourage you to come and participate as much as possible in our first on-campus Orientation since 2019!

The page will be updated as details change or are confirmed both before Orientation and after the semester has started, so remember to check it regularly to ensure you have the latest information.

While the information here is not as in-depth as you can expect from our information sessions during Orientation, it can be a great resource for you to reference both before your arrival in Sweden and once you've begun your studies. The page is organised into modules, which you can access from the menu on the left side of your screen, with a wide range of information and links to further resources, including everything from learning support services at the University to fun things to see and do in Malmö!

External links have been provided in English where possible, but some of the links are available only in Swedish, which is why we recommend using a browser that can automatically translate webpages for you, such as Google Chrome.

Also keep in mind that you can always send any questions you might have to internationaloffice@mau.se. Please note that the time used in Malmö is Central European Summer Time (CEST, GMT+2h) until 30 October, when it shifts to Central European Time (CET, GMT+1h).

First, let's take a look at the schedule for Orientation!
